In 2023 I was one of the artists selected by the Sacramento Office of Arts and Culture to make work about the Del Rio Trail, a stretch of abandoned railroad tracks that is being turned into a bike and pedestrian pathway. For my project I chose to collect plants from along the trail and dye fabric with them to make a quilt. I documented and wrote about the process in a book so that viewers could connect what they saw in the quilt with plants from the trail. I’ve made the book available to download here on my website for free.
