Are you interested in bundle dyeing but not sure where to start? This kit has everything you need to learn the process, and make two beautiful scarves from start to finish. In this kit you’ll use dried black knight scabiosa flowers (homegrown by me), dried cochineal insects (from Botanical Colors), and dried marigold petals (grown by me and from local farmers), to create colorful patterns on two silk habotai scarves. The scarves have already been prepared for dyeing, and have been mordanted with aluminum potassium sulfate so that the dyes will properly bond to the fabric. All you need to do is add the dyestuffs, roll up your bundle, and heat them for 15 to 20 minutes on the stove and you’ll have two gorgeous scarves ready to wear, gift, or use instantly!
 
Each kit contains 2 silk scarves 21.5 x 21.5 inches that have been mordanted and are ready to dye as well as dried scabiosa flowers, dried marigold petals, dried cochineal insects and a length of cotton string. Each kit also contains instructions for downloading the instructional PDF from my website. Supplies that are not included but that you’ll need are a small to medium sized pot with lid, steamer insert (optional), jar and foil (optional), scissors.
